26595SR.OO.A032VE.01 – [RE]MASTER01 SELFWINDING CHRONOGRAPH
Like a remastered recording from the 1940s, [Re]master01 reinterprets one of Audemars Piguet’s rare chronograph wristwatches with the latest chronograph technology and a dial design increasing legibility.
Yellow gold-toned dial, blue tachymetric scale, pink-gold hands and blue chrono seconds hand.
Chronograph From the 1940s
The signature “Audemars, Piguet & Co Genève” adorns the dial of [Re]master01. From around 1885 to the mid-1970s, Audemars Piguet had a workshop in Geneva to be closer to end clients and facilitate distribution within Europe and beyond. The inscriptions featured on the dials of chronograph wristwatches from the 1940s highlight this connection to the world, while informing us on how these watches were sold. To ensure its distribution, Audemars Piguet frequently collaborated with retailers around the world. This is why the dial often included both the retailer’s and Audemars Piguet’s signatures.
